Electric Blues

I'm seeing so many pretty pretty princess blues in electric, royal, cobalt and other shades. Here's a round-up of blue beauties.

JUMPERS
($175, Doucette Duvall, Ylli)
The first is by my beloved Doucette Duvall. So beautiful. Sigh.

($229, Rachel Pally, Amazon)
So comfy looking.

($89, Sarah Luna, Ylli)
Usually I'm pretty anti denim, and I'm generally against denim anywhere above the waist, but this is really lovely and would look so nice with a wee black cropped jacket, black tights and black boots in the coming cooler months.

($34, Bloomingdales.com)
Cutes!

($65, Splendid, Amazon)
Comfort City!

($407, Cindy Lee, Revolveclothing.com)
I absolutely love this shade of blue. Reminds me of that Lipsy dress Lily Allen wore to the Concert for Diana. The dress, by the way, is sold out at Lipsy but available at Asos.com.

TOPS
($173, Geren Ford, Bergdorf Goodman)
Just another reason why Geren Ford is quickly becoming one of my favorite indie designers.

($225, Nanette Lepore, Shoptwigs.com)
This would probably look terrible on me, but the color is gorgeous.

($30, Nooworks, Modishoppe.com)
Fabulous shade.

DRESSES
(Apprx $192 USD, Jasmine Guinness, Oli.co.uk)
So elegant, and I love the button detailing on the back:

(Apprx $127 USD, Toast.co.uk)
Very Laura Ingalls Goes To A Small Liberal Arts College. The yellow sash makes it so much less stodgy.

($25, eBay)
It says lilac, but whatever. This style is super perfect. I always get excited when I find stuff like this in thrift stores, because the cut is always so flattering.

SHOES
($46, Seychelles, Lulusfashionlounge.com)
Yay for $46, boo for only size 7. UPDATE: JK! They're here at Zappos.com for $83, and check 'em out in white! Loves!

($52, Seychelles, Lulusfashionlounge.com)
Best. Would rule with a pink or yellow top and some grey jeans.

(Apprx $188, Chie Mahara, Toast.co.uk)
Amazing. Perfect height and shade. And also lovely in yellow.

($306, Miu Miu, Monamoore.com)
Mainly I think tie-dyed stuff belongs only in the recesses of our collective American memory of 1960s cliches, but these are one outstanding exception. They make me wanna do tons of sit-ups so I can just walk around the house naked, save these.... Okay... so nothing is worth that many sit-ups. But still. The intent is there!

Now go snack on this awesome and relevant old-school video:

I Love My Cat Too, But Seriously...

Um, I just went outside and saw a woman wearing shorts (and as if that weren't bad enough...) which revealed three tattoos on her thigh -- each was an identical paw print ascending her leg to her nether parts. WTF. And those were just the tats I could SEE. This once again just adds additional proof to my belief that there should be a tattoo board that reviews potential tattoo ideas before committing them to permanent ink. The process should take at least 6 - 9 weeks, and the board reserves the right to veto any horrendous ideas such as the one I just mentioned, tribal bands and Calvin peeing on anything. Seriously, there oughta be a law!

An additional to her previous endorsements, Scarlett Johansson sizzles in the Fall/Winter 2007-08 ad campaign of Louis Vuitton. Know why.....

Celebrities and Their Dream Homes

We've been eyeieng for their fashion statement and we've seen their personal life. Now we can intrude more in their privacy by sneaking up on their dream houses.

The stars of the film and music industries live in homes which perhaps we have fantasized of owning time and time again. Moved by curiosity? Here they are:

You can’t see this celebrity home at all! It’s covered by fortress-like walls and a forest of trees. This Beverly Hills home’s hyped-up security is probably due to the constant hounding by the paparazzi that owner Tom Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes face on a daily basis.

This is the Beverly Hills home of one of Hollywood’s most-successful (and not to mention richest) comedians, Eddie Murphy.

This humble abode is the home of none other than Britney Spears, the princess of pop who’s been in the public eye more these days for her personal problems than for her musical prowess.

This is the largest mansion on all of Miami Beach’s private islands. It’s the biggest mansion because it belongs to one of the biggest and most-famous players in the NBA, Shaquille O’Neil.

Fugs Footwear

Yay! I'm back! Let's get right back to Bingeness!

The jazz shoe trend is basically awful. I don't know if it's worse for men or women -- probably women since we have such a wider array of footwear choices -- is there really any excuse for CHOOSING to wear these? I mean, perhaps if I got in my time machine and sucked myself back to 1986, Rita Wilhelm's school of dance in suburban Cleveland, where I was mastering pivots and jazz hands and shit to the electro wop wops of Midnight Star (true story), perhaps THEN there would be a valid excuse. But it's not 1986 anymore (unfortunately), and therefore there is NO excuse.

Our prescient pals to the east, Shoewawa, over in UKtown, called y'all out on your shit back in January, pulling over these little printed horrors for a footwear felony in the first degree!

Objection sustained! These are a CRIME!

Then... Refinery29.com called out these metallic mortses in April.
A thousand nos! These Chausser shoes are an abomination. It's a sad fact, however, that these are fantasy fuck-me shoes, meaning that if a famous guy approached you wearing these, you'd totally fuck him despite the fact that he was wearing these. If any non-famous real-life guy attempted to even LOOK at you while wearing these, you'd do well to toss your drink in his face then slap him for good measure. All because of these faux pas. (Sorry, but you know it's true.)

Then Portland's Ultra commented on how Dior and Cause-Me-Pain-Hedi Slimane had been sending white jazzies down the catwalk in '06 eventhough Gucci male models did the runway
in them just the other month for their Spring/ Summer '08 show in Milan -- Oh the HORROR!
Um, hi. They sucked in 2006. They suck this year, and they will continue to suck in 2008.

In case you don't believe me, guys, you can get yourself a pair on Asos.com for just $55 and experience the fear first hand.

Or, ladies, you can feel the fear yourself:
($28, Urban Outfitters)
And you can defile four different colors, should you so choose, because they also come in white, teal, black and super no-no silver!

Also, these different variations of peep-toe boots and gladiator sandals need to end. Now. Let's start with these:
($429, Cesare Paciotti, Zappos)
Not so good, Al.

And now, a random parade of awful shoes.
($116, Kate Spade, Zappos)
No.

($116, Sigerson Morrison, Zappos)
I LOVE orange, and I LOVE tacky stuff, and even I was able to resist.

($186, Delman, Zappos)
Some poor helpless lamb died for Delman's sins. Unspeakable.

($694, Bruno Magli, Shoes.com)
Besides the movie "Bringing Down the House," I'm not sure what Queen Latifah did to deserve having these shit-striped twin towers named after her.

($83, BCBGirls, Zappos)
Isn't it bad enough that shitty shoes like these dominated the 1990s? Do they really need to make a return?

Okay... Now it's time for some redemption. Shoes I like! Onward!
($162, Betsey Johnson, Zappos)
I'm not crazy about the rose detail, but the colors rule.

($59, Pink Studio, Village-Shoes.com)
Ab fab print!

($79, Steve Madden, Nordstrom)
I was on the fence about these when I saw them on Lulu's Fashion Lounge. But they passed my "yes" test by a hair when I saw this close-up shot. The flowers are adorable and very shabby chic.

($32, Adi Designs, Overstock)
These are a wee bit Jessica Simpson-y, but I really like the heel height, the bow detail and the price! Huzzah!

($64, BCBGirls, Amazon)
These are also fairly silly, but they look comfy, and you never know when you'll receive a last-minute invite to a polo match.

Finally, and in news unrelated to footwear, my birthday is fast approaching, and I would really really appreciate this:
($869, Mike & Chris, ActiveEndeavors.com)
Thanking you in advance,
Tamron Lohan

Life After (Pinoy) Big Brother

After Pinoy Big Brother Season 2, controversial housemate, Wendy Valdez is apparently paying off. She was set to pose for the cover of Maxim men's magazine (August Issue). Here are the magazine's triple cover treat:

When you search over the internet, you can see different views and reactions regarding Wendy's appearance in Maxim's cover. She was loved..she was hated. As for me, I don't hate her..but I also don't love here. :D
